Tamaran

Tamaran; The home planet of Starfire.

Starfire is an alien from the planet Tamaran. And she came down to Earth and joined the Teen Titans! On her planet of Tamaran, Starfire is the princess of the planet. She is next in line to take the royal throne. But in the episode 'Betrothed', she decides to stay on Earth instead of ruling Tamaran, so now her real home is on Earth.

"Gremplork" and I believe it's the Tamaranian equivalent of a 'female dog'

Knorfka means caregiver, or close to it,

Starfire: (To Robin) What's wrong? Grishnik got your tongue?
The "grishnik" is apparently the Tamaranian equivalant of "cat." Which is a parody of the phrase, "Cat got your tongue?"

Quincidences-

Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
When Killer Moth was falling down, he grabbed Star's foot with his glowing orange whip and pulls her down too. This could be a cultural reference to Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, when the Balrog of Morgoth does the same to Gandalf the Grey, eventually killing him and causing his rebirth of Gandalf the White.

Bloopers-

-In “The Beast within”, when Robin and Co. finds Ravens cloak clasp in the sewer. If you look closely at Raven in the next scene, you can see that she si still wearing it. How can she be wearing it when Robin was carrying it?

-In "Employee of the Month", when Beastboy is about to run out the door to help his friends, he looks at the moped, and it already has a T sticker on it. When he rides out of the building with the moped, where did he get the helmet from?

Starfire's powers are activated by her emotions as follows (from the episode 'switched') Flight: 'unbridled joy' Starbolts: 'righteous fury' Super strength: 'boundless confidence' Eye lasers: unknown.

Blackfire is Starfire's sister from her home planet Tamaran. She also has the same powers as Starfire except she shoots black starbolts through her hands and eyes. Blackfire and Starfire are the same except for that Blackfire is all black and is a criminal. In this episode "Sisters" Blackfire came to earth after being hunted down by the Centari Police. Blackfire then wears Starfire's clothes, takes her friends away from her, and trys to get rid of Starfire by stealing a Centari Moon Diamond necklace and giving it to Starfire, when she is mistaken for Blackfire, Starfire is then hunted down.

Blackfire is the kind of cool villain that will do anything to get what she wants. She had always been a better fighter, knows a lot of stuff and even knows how to deal with other people better since they were children, but since they grew up, things have changed, now Star is the greater fighter.

Galfore- Galfore is Starfire's k'norfka. (which means caregiver, or close to that) He raised Starfire from the time she was small, as beastboy refers to him as 'her nanny'.
